This CD was made possible by a grant from the Cohen Grappel Autoharp Endowment. It includes historic songs played and sang by Nancy Cowan of Phoenix AZ. Also featured are many talented musicians between the desert of Phoenix and Nancy's homeland of the Ozarks.
Guest Artists include: George Mason on electric guitar, violin, and trumpet; Matthew Bullis on sparrowharp, bass harmonica, tenor gopichand; Bea Graves on bass; Eric Douglas on vocals and acoustic guitar, and featured singer on "The House." Branson singers Stephanie and Devin Callahan add harmonies. Even got a real drummer!
Autoharp Junction is a place in my imagination where we can go to meet up with other autoharpers and musicians and not get "picked on" for "playing the idiot box". There's no 5 PM sign-up for open mic at 7. There's a biker bar and a fully stocked library, and we can go out at night and not worry about needles on the sidewalk! Have a picnic without getting harassed. You know, a great place to go!
Autoharp Junction CD, 1st press
Recorded in Mesa, AZ at The Studio Oasis and in Harrison, AR. Autoharp Junction features the humble autoharp in every song! But don't worry, that's not all you'll hear! Featured electric guitar, dobro, banjo, and other friendly instruments.
